Itinerary

Enjoy a day tour to visit the Egyptian Museum is the most important depository of Egyptian antiquities anywhere in the world. It features artifacts from the pharaonic and Greco-Roman periods, including the celebrated mummies of ancient Egyptian kings and queens, as well as the world-famous Tutankhamun’s treasures. Then proceed to visit the Citadel of Saladin dominates Cairo’s skyline and was the nerve center of the city and Egypt for almost 700 years. Its construction was initiated in 1776 by Saladin and completed by Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque in the 1820s. It is rich and varied in history, including the Mameluke massacre during the rule of Mohammed Ali. Lunch break will be at a local restaurant, and move on to the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo including some of the early religious monuments of the city such as the Hanging church or the suspended church this basilica church was named for its location on top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon the church became the center of the Christian Church of Egypt, St. Barbara Church, then you will visit also the famous Jewish heritage in Cairo including Ben Ezra Synagogue the temple contains a Jewish heritage library, containing documents found here in 1896 that describe the economic and social conditions of Jews under Arab rule then visit the first mosque in Egypt which is Amr Mosque. Back to your hotel.
