Itinerary

In the morning, our tour guide will pick you up in an air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Luxor (or Aswan). Accompanied by a guide, you will drive to Edfu Temple built out of sandstone during the Ptolemaic period. The temple is dedicated to the falcon-headed god, Horus. It is the best-preserved temple in Egypt and is magnificently constructed making wonderful use of natural sunlight. The temple contains a Nilometer, windows, and a well, including a variety of battle and religious inscriptions on the walls. Two statues of falcons are located at the entrance of the temple. The interior includes a library, a cloakroom, a laboratory, a treasure room, an offering hall, a sanctuary, and other chambers. You will be provided with a box lunch on this tour. Further on, proceed to the Kom Ombo Temple, located on the river Nile.

Built during the Greco-Roman era, Kom Ombo Temple is home to an unusual double temple. The temple on the right is dedicated to the crocodile god, Sobek, while the temple on the left was in honor of Haroeris. Each temple has its own entrance, court, halls, and sanctuary. The temple is believed to change colors as the sun sets. After exploring the archaeological sites and visiting the two temples, Our guide will lead you back to your hotel in Luxor (or Aswan).
