Itinerary
In the morning, you will be picked up in an air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Cairo. Accompanied by a guide, you will be taken to the Pharaonic Village situated a few kilometers from the center of Cairo.
The pharaonic era is brought alive by a group of actors, and faithful reproductions of buildings and clothing. You can sail on comfortable motorized barges down a network of canals and view incredibly accurate recreation of life in ancient Egypt. Though the city of Cairo surrounds the island, not a trace of it penetrates the thick wall of trees planted around the island. Over a hundred actors and actresses perform daily activities such as agriculture, pottery, sculpture, and weaving among others. Everyone that would have existed in an ancient Egyptian city is present in modern recreation, from pharaohs to fishermen, potters, and priests.
After enjoying a flavor of ancient Egypt, you will be dropped back to your hotel in Cairo.
