Today the temple of Philae is no longer found on Philae Island: after the construction of the Aswan dam, it was submerged by the waters. Fortunately, after being dismantled, it was moved brick by brick to the nearby island of Agilkia where it was rebuilt with great precision, thanks to the collaboration of the Italian Government with that of Egypt. |
