A different journey that touches unusual destinations in the Western Desert. Alexandria of Egypt, Siwa oasis, famous for its oracle and for being the outpost facing the Great Sand Sea which is the largest dune complex in the world, and the Bahariya oasis that in Greek-Roman city boasted half a million inhabitants, in whose immediate vicinity, in the last twenty years, exciting archaeological discoveries have been made. We will also cross the Black Desert and the White Desert with their limestone formations that our imagination can interpret at will. A magical show, enriched by light variation, will be indelibly fixed in our travel memories.
Overview
Take a 3-day trip to the fantastic Bahariya Oasis. Camp in the White Desert and discover the splendor of this distinct region in the Western Desert. Nearby attractions are Farafra, Crystal Mountain, and Alexander’s Temple.
Early in the morning, depart for the Bahariya Oasis. Go to the village for lunch. then proceed in a 4×4 to the White Desert via the Black Desert, including stops at Crystal Mountain and the stunning El Agabat location. Arrive in the White Desert just in time to take in the breathtaking sunset and begin exploring. Create a Bedouin camp. Around the campfire, take pleasure in meals and Bedouin music.
In the early morning, before your bedouin breakfast at the campsite, you will enjoy breathtaking sunrise views in the White Desert. Leave the campsite and drive to Farafra oasis to enjoy a fantastic swimming experience in the hot spring of Beer Seta, followed by a visit to the Folklore Museum of Badr and the old town of Farafra before checking into your hotel at Bahariya Oasis and settling in. By afternoon, you will have climbed the Black Mountains and the English House, as well as the sand dunes and the Salt Lake, with spectacular sunset views, before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Return to Cairo via the White Desert
After breakfast, explore the White Desert and its limestone formations. Return to the Oasis of Bahariya, then to Cairo in the afternoon.
